As a small business, we try to use our materials and craftsmanship thoughtfully and responsibly. Making our pieces to order helps us avoid unnecessary overproduction and focus more carefully on quality, details, and fit.
It also gives us more flexibility when it comes to sizing and adjustments, helping us create a better experience for each customer.
Our pieces are made to order, and production usually takes 3–5 business days.
During especially busy periods, it may take a little longer. If you need your order by a specific date, feel free to contact us before ordering and we’ll do our best to help.
Once your order is placed, you’ll receive an order confirmation by email.
Your piece then goes into made-to-order production, which usually takes 3–5 business days. Once it’s ready and shipped, we’ll send you a shipping confirmation with tracking details.

Most of our pieces are made to order. However, we also keep a small stock in the U.S., and some items may be available in Ukraine for immediate dispatch.
Because most of our pieces are made to order, we recommend contacting us as soon as possible if you need to make a change or cancel your order.
If production has not started yet, we’ll do our best to help. Once production is underway or the order has already been shipped, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible.
For custom-made items, changes and cancellations may be more limited.

Yes — we offer small length adjustments free of charge, including changes to the overall garment length, trouser/shorts length, or sleeve length.
Yes — custom sizing is one of the things that makes BlackFicus special. Because most of our pieces are made to order, we can often create a garment based on your measurements and preferred fit for a more personal and comfortable result.
We can also offer selected custom adjustments depending on the style — such as adding or removing pockets, as well as certain length or fit changes.
For custom orders, we also keep your measurements on file, so if you return for another piece, you usually won’t need to go through the full measuring process again.

In many cases, we can make practical adjustments that improve the fit or details of a garment, as long as they do not require creating a completely new design.
Possible alterations may include:
- length changes to the garment, trousers, sleeves, or inseam
- fit adjustments such as a slightly looser or slimmer silhouette
- waist, hip, or leg width adjustments depending on the style
- pocket adjustments, including adding or removing pockets where possible
- small detail changes depending on the garment and construction
Availability always depends on the specific style, so if you have a request in mind, feel free to contact us before ordering and we’ll be happy to advise.
Custom-made items are not refundable or exchangeable. Because they are created specifically to your measurements and preferences, they cannot be resold or restocked.
That said, if something doesn’t feel quite right, we always ask you to contact us first. Since all measurements are provided remotely, we understand that no one is completely protected from sizing uncertainty.
We always do our best to work carefully with your measurements before production and help achieve the best possible fit.

Fabric, Colors & Care
We use 100% European linen fabric certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. Our linen is pre-softened for comfort and has a weight of around 190 g/m², offering a well-balanced combination of breathability, durability, and natural structure. It is especially well suited to warm weather and hot climates. We also offer a permanent palette of 20 colors, and each piece can be made in any of these shades.
We do our best to show our colors as accurately as possible, but the exact shade may look slightly different depending on your screen settings, lighting, and the natural character of the fabric.
As with many natural fabrics, small tone variations between dye batches can also happen.
Yes — you can purchase fabric swatches separately before placing the main order. We also include extra swatches with every order, so you can see and feel the fabric in person and have a reference for future pieces.
For pieces included in the same order, we cut them from the same roll of fabric so the shade stays as consistent as possible.
If a new order is placed later and made from a different fabric batch, a slight variation in tone may occur. This is a natural characteristic of linen and can occasionally happen between dye lots.
Most of our linen colors are not see-through. However, white and cream shades may have slight transparency depending on the style, lighting, and what is worn underneath.

We recommend gentle machine washing and washing separately for the first wash, as some colors may release a little excess dye at first.
To help preserve the color, shape, and softness of the fabric, avoid bleach and high temperatures. For best results, air dry whenever possible or use low heat if needed, and iron while the fabric is still slightly damp.

A small amount of shrinkage after the first wash is normal for natural linen. Our fabric is pre-softened, which helps keep shrinkage minimal, and we take this into account when creating the fit.
To help preserve the shape and feel of the garment, we recommend avoiding high temperatures and following our linen care guide.
Yes — linen naturally becomes softer over time with wear and washing.
Our fabric is already pre-softened for a more comfortable feel from the start, but with proper care it continues to become even softer and more comfortable over time while keeping its natural character.

Tracking updates can sometimes take a little time, especially in the early stages of transit or while the parcel is moving between countries and postal systems.
If your tracking hasn’t changed for a few days, this does not always mean there is a problem. In many cases, updates appear once the parcel reaches the next sorting point or your local postal network.

Delays can occasionally happen during international shipping, especially because of customs processing, carrier workload, or local delivery conditions.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
Yes — most items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery, as long as they are unwashed, unworn, and in original condition.
Custom-made items and underwear are not eligible for return or exchange.
Before sending anything back, please contact us first so we can guide you through the next steps. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, and the original shipping cost is not refunded.
Once your return is received and approved, the refund is issued to your original payment method.

We accept major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal, Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
Depending on your location, you may also see additional payment methods. All prices are shown in USD, and if you pay in another currency, your bank may apply its own exchange rate.
